It's Friday and you know what that means....hopping time! This awesome meme is hosted by Crazy-For-Books and this week's question is, "When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading or wait until you have read the entire book?"
Good question! I wait until I've finished the book, because I think that's only fair in case something I was concerned about is resolved later on. That said, as I read I often can't help but think about what I will put in my review - even though it's sometimes distracting to the reading process! (Any solutions for that, by the way?)
And for what I've been up to this week, some recent posts:

Hey Danya! You're awesome for grabbing the Book Contest Directory button! I've been working my butt off and I'm glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteLike you I wait but I'm always thinking about what I'll write about too. I pretty much know the score, depending on how much I think about what I'm writing. If the story sucks me and I don't think about the review, it's getting a good one! Have an awesome weekend.
I do that too. I sometimes form things in my head, and I always have a blog post open so I can put in quotes I want to use in my reviews :)
ReplyDeleteIf it's a good book, I can't put it down either!!

I agree in that I think it's only fair to wait until you've finished reading the entire book, especially because sometimes my opinion of the book changes by the end.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well and have a fabulous weekend! :]
Gresat blog! Thanks for stopping by mine! Followed you today!
ReplyDeleteI wait until I've finished the book too, however I sometimes will make a couple of notes as I go along.
ReplyDeleteHi, just hopping on by! I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteJust hopping by to say hello! Great site, I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today! :)
OMG You have heard of The Last of the Really Great Wangdoodles???? I am so excited!!! I'm trying to get my youngest son to try it. I loved that book as a child. My cousin and I raced each other to finish it. I'd love to read it with him. He "thinks it sounds interesting" and read the first page then fell asleep.
ReplyDelete*Settles down* Thanks for visiting my blog. I just can't form an opinion of a book until I finish a book and how do you say what a book is about if you don't finish it. That's why if I don't finish it, I don't review it.
