Book Blogger Hop (13)

It's time again for the Book Blogger Hop! This awesome meme is hosted by Crazy-For-Books and this week's question is,"When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or move to your next title?"

That's a really good question...hmmmm. It may depend on my mood (sometimes I might not have the patience for sticking it out), what other books are waiting to be read, and whether I think it will get better or not. Also, if I've heard a lot of positive things about it, I might give it a bit more of a chance. Usually, though, if I find that I just keep putting it down and not wanting to pick it up again, eventually I'll just get sucked in by another book and forget about it.

Also, in case you didn't see these posts:
  • I have started a new feature highlighting the books I'm putting on my Christmas wishlist.  Join me!
  • Casey at The Bookish Type is hosting a "Fall Into Fantasy" event that I'm excited to be participating in! See this post for more details.
  • Amber at Down The Rabbit Hole is hosting "YA Love Triangle Week" and I will be defending Team David of the Uglies series. She's still looking for volunteers for the event –  See her blog for more info! There's voting and prizes involved...
Hopping time!

  1. Hey Danya, I would never force myself to the end either and it's always a good idea to go back to the book after a short break. Although sometimes I get engrossed in another book anf forget about it too which is good because then yo udon't feel so guilty.

Also, I like the idea for your new feature, I'll participate nearer Christmas. I love your book christmas tree- very creative!

I hope you enjoy your weekend! :)

  5. Agreed, a lot of times my willingness to go on depends on what I've read others saying about it. If they're telling me to hold out, I try to hold out!

  6. Happy Follow Friday!!! Hope you will stop by my blog too! My publisher and I are looking for a group of bloggers for a huge blog tour next year before the release of book two in my 'A Sense of Truth' series! We will be giving out a few more copies of The Thirteenth Chime (we can only give out so many, being open to e-books gives an upper hand) and are still open to all interviews and guest posts. We want to fill up the Amazon page with reviews and try to reach as many people as we can!!! Hope you might consider being a part of the team! Thank you either way!

    Sincerely,

  7. Hi, Danya! Now I get what you meant that I'm more dedicated in finishing a book. Well, it also depends on the mood..and the books that are more interesting to read! :D
