Book Blogger Hop (6)

This fabulous meme is hosted by Crazy For Books, and this week's question is: Do you use a rating system for your reviews and if so, what is it and why?


I do use a rating system (out of 5 stars - see the right sidebar for the descriptions). I know it never captures all the nuances that a review does, but it gives a general idea of my overall impression of the book, and whether or not I recommend that another reader give it a try.

    I'm a follower, but you know me...I hop back! I use a rating system, too, but I just keep it to the simple five star rating on goodreads. I think it gives me more freedom to elaborate and be all wordy haha :)

    I like that a lot of bloggers use the 5 point rating system (and like a previous commenter pointed out, it corresponds to the goodreads ratings as well). Makes it easy to get an overall idea of the person's response to the book before reading the review.
