In My Mailbox (19)

In this meme, hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, we share the books we've received, bought or taken out from the library.

This week was a good one for my mailbox! In anticipation of the "A Cornucopia of Dystopia" event I am co-hosting with Casey from The Bookish Type, I received:

Wither by Lauren DeStefano (thanks Simon & Schuster!)
Enclave by Ann Aguirre (thanks Macmillan!)

I also went to my local Chapters bookstore to check for books to put on my birthday wishlist (since my birthday's coming up in about a month). While I was there I found a couple steals in the clearance section that I couldn't resist:

Girl v. Boy by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout (although, why did they have to put the $2 sticker RIGHT over his head? No idea.)
The Tough Guide to Fantasy Land by Diana Wynne Jones

And last but not least, a few holds came in at the library:

Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A. S. King
My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent
Rosebush by Michele Jaffe

  4. Lol, the $2 sticker over the guy's head is annoying me and I don't even have the book present in front of me :) I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of Enclave since I love the trailer for it.

  7. Nice, I really loved 'Wither'... I'm definitely going to buy a copy at some point.

Haha oh Chapters... I've seen them put those $2 stickers in strange spots here, as well, on a few books. So strange, lol.

  10. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on "Wither" and "Please Ignore Vera Dietz". I enjoyed "Wither", however, have some issues with the book. It seems to be getting mixed reviews from the blogosphere.

  14. Oh I'll be curious about a bunch of your reviews for these. I've seen Girl V. Boy around, but I don't have a clear idea of how good it is. I so can't wait to read Enclave!
