Bloggish Hopes for 2011
I've seen some other bloggers making some New Year's resolutions. However, I don't normally make them, because I know I have little chance of keeping them! So these are more like just hopes and/or aspirations for my blogging this year...
- More discussion posts about thought-provoking reading-related questions. I really enjoyed the response I got to the "How do you like your endings?" post I did recently, and I'd love to have some more discussions like that.
- More interaction with authors. I would like to actually get some interviews up on the blog!
- Participation in events around the blogosphere. I'm looking forward to fulfilling the two challenges I've already signed up for, and I have an idea brewing for an event...
And this isn't strictly to do with my blog, but I'd love to attend some book signings or other author events. *crosses fingers and hopes that lots of awesome YA authors will come to Vancouver this year*
How about the rest of you? Yea or nay on the New Year's resolutions? Any goals for your blogging this year?

I'm looking forward to your discussion posts. I really enjoyed the one you did on endings. I'm trying to add more discussion posts to my blog too. I like it when we all interact together. Good luck with your aspirations :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals. I'll keep my fingers crossed for more YA authors coming to the Toronto area when I'm actually free. Are there more events in the Vancouver region or is where I'm living as good as it's going to get for Canada?
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, not enough authors visit Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteYour idea for an event sounds interesting! Author interviews are always fun to read so I'll look forward to hopefulyl seeing some on here. Good luck with your goals :)
ReplyDeleteI don't really like New Year's resolutions because people tend to make to many, go all out the first few days of the year, then give up. To make permanent changes in life you have to build up habits slowly and not put so much pressure on yourself. That has been my experience anyway! I do want to be more attentive to my blog and it's followers this year though!
ReplyDeleteOh I like the idea of more discussion posts! Those are always fun:) And I would love to have more author interviews as well but I always get nervous writing them to ask for the interview! Looking forward to everything you come up with for this year:)
ReplyDelete@Jenny: I know, I feel the same way about approaching authors for interviews!
