You all know how much I like Jane Austen, and of her many talents, one was definitely creating such delightfully despicable...bad boys. So this week, it's 3 men from 3 different Jane Austen novels – guys you wouldn't want to bring home to meet the family.
1.) Willoughby from Sense & Sensibility
2.) Henry Crawford from Mansfield Park
3.) Frank Churchill from Emma

Okay, I haven't read Emma, but I don't even care if Frank Churchill is evil and people are going say they want to kill him. If he's portrayed by Ewan McGregor, then I want to both kiss and marry him. Kill the others. Ewan all the way!

ReplyDeleteSo, the first time I read Mansfield Park, I was all about the Edmund. The second time I was like WTF?? Now I'm a firm believer that Franny should have accepted Henry. Edmund is so booooring! Henry and Franny would have been good for each other.

ReplyDelete@Casey: It's been quite a while since I've read Mansfield Park, but I think the last time I did I was an Edmund fan. Not positive I'd still react the same if I read it again now, but I'm pretty sure I always disliked Henry LOL. Also yes, Frank Churchill sure is insufferable!
