In My Mailbox (36)

In this meme, hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, we share the books we've received, bought or taken out from the library.

Bought:

Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar

I've heard so many bloggers raving about this one, I had to see what the fuss is all about. It's an Aussie book not available in North America at the moment. The prices seem to constantly change on www.fishpondworld.com, but I checked one time and it had gone down to a decent amount, so I purchased it quickly!

Bought the following as library discards:

Palace of Mirrors by Margaret Peterson Haddix
Fire by Kristin Cashore
Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James (I've already read this one, but was not about to turn down the deal of getting a hardcover copy of my own for $1)
Wounded by Eric Walters

From the library:

Where I Want to Be by Adele Griffin
The Game by Teresa Toten

I just wanted to add: Psychtember is in full swing now, so some of my regular features (for instance, Kiss, Marry, Kill) won't be appearing this month. But you can look forward to them making a return in October, and in the meantime, enjoy Psychtember!

  1. Library sales are the best! So are just libraries in general. I haven't heard about Raw Blue yet, but it looks good - I'll have to check it out.

  10. I'm a new follower. :) Raw Blue sounds really amazing; I haven't heard of it before. I'm not sure what happened to the narrator, but I guess. I think it will be a really powerful read. Have a great week! And write lots of reviews. :D

  13. I have Palace of Mirrors by Margaret Peterson Haddix (autographed!!) and Fire by Kristin Cashore (though GRACELING is still my favorite to-date)

I just noticed that you have COURT DUEL listed as a favorite in a widget. Steph Su Reads recced it to me. I got the 2 books from the library once, but had to return them unread. I recently found the two books together in one at the used bookstore and SNAGGED it!!
