Book Blogger Hop (16)

It's time again for the Book Blogger Hop! This awesome meme is hosted by Crazy-For-Books and this week's question is, "What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

Hmmm...well, no one likes losing followers. It is bound to happen, though, because you can't please everyone. I started this blog to connect with other people who enjoy reading and to share my thoughts on books, not to gain X amount of followers, and I try to remind myself of that if I start thinking about my followers and how they will respond to a blog post.

If I have ever stopped following a blog it has been very rare...maybe once? *racks brain* That said, I am a little more selective in the blogs I do follow, because I don't want a huge number of blogs popping up on my Google Reader that I have no interest in.

  1. Hi! I think I'll have to join your Christmas meme next week, it looks fun! And there are certainly ALOT of books I would love to get from Christmas!
About the follower question, I rarely (if ever) stop following a blog intentionally, but sometimes I do if the person stops posting, I guess.

  2. I wish now that I had been more selective with following when I started. Because now I've got too many in the list!

  3. I agree with what you said about blogging to share, not to have a certain number of followers. When I start feeling a little low about followers, or lack of comments, I remind myself that this is why I blog. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Hi, Danya! Just dropping by from the hop. I agree that losing followers is inevitable. As long as we enjoy blogging and there are followers who appreciate our efforts are enough to keep us going. We love to read and share. That's what we do. :)

    have a nice weekend!

  5. I agree with you on being more selective. When I first started out, I'd follow every blog that looked interesting but that just makes it harder to find those few posts or bloggers that I like. Since then, I've learned that sometimes it's better to check out the blog first to see if they'll be writing about stuff that I'd be interested to read.

  6. Thanks for stopping by, Danya! :]

I noticed your Waiting on Wednesday post, and I can't wait for Bumped, either! I had no idea McCafferty was writing another novel!

Have a great rest of the weekend.
