In My Mailbox (30)

In this meme, hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, we share the books we've received, bought or taken out from the library. This week something actually came in my mailbox finally! (I think everything from the postal strike is slowly getting processed.)

Won:

Tortall and Other Lands by Tamora Pierce (won from Suzanne Lazear over at Steamed! - thanks Suzanne!)

Suzanne also included some awesome swag and a cute card.

From the library:

Bitter End by Jennifer Brown
Hunger by Jackie Morse Kessler
Fall for Anything by Courtney Summers
Far From You by Lisa Schroeder
Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
The Things A Brother Knows by Dana Reinhardt
Chime by Franny Billingsley — I've started on this one and it is really different from anything I've read in a while (or maybe ever!)
One Day by David Nicholls

Some of these will be used for an event I'm planning for September, so stay tuned for more information about that (probably in a few weeks, once I've got things a bit more finalized).

  1. I can't get enough of Tamora Pierce, they were the first books to introduce me to YA fantasy and a love of kick-butt heroines!

  4. Awesome mailbox this week! Am totally jealous of Tortall and Other Lands. Tamora Pierce is one of my favourite authors.

Can't wait to see your review of Wintergirls! Read it last year and loved it.

  6. I'm glad you mentioned that about things being slowly processed, because I am so frustrated with things I'm expecting still not arriving. I know I have at least 2 books coming, and it makes me so sad when day after day I get no good mail. lol okay, mail rant over. ;)

I've heard such good things about 'Chime' -- I can't wait to get it from the library at some point.
